Bedford Reservation: Bridal Veil Falls
While the name "cleveland metroparks" doesn't conjure up images of grand landscapes, the rolling green forest and glacial rocks hide multitudes of cascading falls, waiting for you to discover them. One such place is quiet Bedford Reservation.
To visit bridal veil falls, you can type "bridal veil falls" into Google maps, which should direct you to the parking lot for the trailhead (GPS coordinates 41.371728, -81.548733). You should see park signage for "bridal veil falls trail parking area." It isn't hard to find.
This is a short out-and-back trail, less than one mile long. You can walk along the multipurpose trail to visit other sections of the park (but you will be walking along the road). A trail map can be found here, and a more detailed area map can be seen here.
Soon you will come to a wooden overlook, which affords you a beautiful view of Bridal Veil Falls, tumbling 15 feet down the shale riverbed.
You can continue along through the forest for a little bit, but you will soon come to the road. Here you can either continue on to the multipurpose trail, or head back to your car.
If you would like to hike another short but scenic waterfall trail, check out Blue Hen Falls in CVNP. A longer hike in CVNP can be had at Ledges Trail.
Trail Details:
Length: Short < 1 mile
Best time of year: All seasons
Difficulty: Very easy
Fees: None
That's it! Keep on hiking, folks, and don't forget to subscribe and follow me here and here!
